Kudos to Dominos, our savvy pizza client for engaging their active customer base, now 6 million strong, with a great "Show your pizza" campaign.  The promotion, mailed out to their opt-in database, encourages people to make their own pizzas and submit images of them for the chance to win a spot in a print advertisement. Dominos is also giving eight consumers $500 in the second installment of the Show Your Pizza promotion, which runs through August 23.

We all know that multi-channel marketing is a great way to engage your customers through one of the many channels they prefer - and pairing email with a campaign that motivates people to have a dialog with you, in this case sharing photos, is just plain smart.  Those folks that get their homemade pizzas published by Dominos are going to share it with their network - and that will in turn inspire more people to sign up with Dominos to play along, and low and behold discover just how easy Dominos makes it to order from them.  

In fact, my welcome email, shed some new light for me personally on how easy it is to order - in advance, on my phone and it's easy to get local specials and coupons.  I'll be sharing that email with my friends for sure.  Now I just need to get my kids to make a creative pizza to submit and send that along - who can pass up the chance to have fun and possibly $500 bucks for their future college fund!
